Photos from the Litter Cleanup

The annual Litter Cleanup took place on Wednesday 26th of June. The weather for the day was dry which made it much easier.

Below are a couple of photos of the pupils doing cleanup, as well as a photo from last year’s cleanup.

Donnchadha O ConnorAnother pupil from the 2008 Class was Donnchadha O’Connor from Kilbaha. Donnchadha is a wood-turner, who creates uniquely beautiful, hand-turned pens in a variety of styles and from a selection of locally sourced sustainably managed native timbers. Timbers used include Bog Oak, Yew, Hawthorn and Blackthorn.

Some great memories…

Our School Museum

The museum has a collection of photos and other interesting items about Moyvane. It is open each day during School Hours (9.10am to 3pm). The model of the old Murhur National School was made by a 6th class student over 25 years ago.

We would welcome any old photos of past pupils or classes since the new school was opened in 1975. Please email any photos to info@murhurns.com and we will post them in a gallery on our website.
