Football Blitz – Ballylongford

There were great celebrations in Murhur NS today as we were out in force to welcome home our triumphant Cumman na mBunscol team. Our boys and girls from 4th, 5th and 6th put on an excellent display of football and sportsmanship in the 3 Teacher final in O’Rahilly Park Ballylongford. They played Ballylongford in the first game and had a convincing win. In the next game they met a strong Asdee side, however, it was Murhur’s day and again went on to win with a score of 2.14 to 4.2. All taking part were a credit to themselves and their school, and an inspiration to the younger boys and girls who can’t wait to follow in their footsteps! Next round will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
