Morning Meetings“Morning meetings are an engaging way to start each day, build a strong sense of community and set children up for success both socially and academically.” (Responsive Classroom). Morning Meetings are made up of four parts; greeting, sharing, group activity and morning message.
We are seeing very positive results here in Murhur National School as a result of Morning Meetings in the Senior Class. The children are building relationships within their class. They are also intrinsically motivated to learn as their day starts on such a positive, fun, connected note.
The academic benefits of morning meetings include:
